DPD scoops three awards at the road transport 'Oscars'
DPD makes it 10 Motor Transport Awards in last 3 years
DPD took home three awards and increased its overall tally of Motor Transport Awards to 39 at a glittering ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Parcel delivery company DPD came away from the annual road transport industry 'Oscars' with the Customer Care, Clean Fleet Van Operator and Urban Operator of the Year awards.
The evening celebrates outstanding achievements in the industry and recognises innovation, customer service, efficiency and quality. The awards are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.
Now in their 36th year, the awards were hosted by writer and broadcaster Clare Balding and Motor Transport editor Steve Hobson.
It is the fourth year running that DPD has won the Customer Care Award, a category the firm has dominated over the last decade. It is also the second time in three years that DPD has won the Clean Fleet Van Operator award.
Elaine Kerr, DPD UK CEO commented, "What a night for DPD! I'm absolutely delighted to win the Customer Care award yet again. To win it for the fourth year running demonstrates the incredible commitment from our people to provide our customers with great service, year after year. The other two awards also demonstrate the incredible progress and leadership we've shown in sustainable delivery. Our aim is to be the most sustainable parcel delivery company in the UK and, while the team are working tirelessly towards this goal, it is fantastic to keep receiving recognition of the role we are playing."
